version of my essay "Understanding climate changes: the first step"

With a deliberately informative language, the properties of solar
irradiation, the consequent heating and the distribution of temperature
on the Earth's surface are presented, deduced from the analysis of
satellite data.
Furthermore the characteristics of the daily,
inter-daily and seasonal variability of the temperature are discussed,
and how they change with the geographical coordinates.
